Elevated Highway on NH7 by July 08

The elevated highway project on Bangalore-Hosur section of NH-7 will be ready by July 2008. The proposed project entails an investment of Rs 776 crore. Around 90 per cent of the ground level improvement work and nearly 36 per cent of the 10-km long stretch of the four lane elevated highway starts from silk board junction to electronics city junction is complete. The stretch from Rupena Agrahara to Electronics City is under construction while the bridge deck work is expected to start by end July. The elevated highway will also have highway traffic management system, video cameras, emergency call booths and standard lighting as part of the project.Once complete it will just take eight minutes to cross the stretch.
